The Beginning

How It Started

MAISON began in 2024 with a simple observation: the market was full of disposable fashion but starved of things worth keeping. Our founders — a textile engineer and a former creative director — set out to build a brand that treated craft as currency and restraint as a design principle.

What started as a small capsule of six garments sold from an atelier in Lisbon has grown into a curated collection of wardrobe essentials, accessories, and home objects. Every item is conceived to work harder, last longer, and grow more beautiful with time.

Materials & Making

Obsessed with Craft

We source only the finest raw materials — Grade-A Mongolian cashmere, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather from Tuscany, pre-washed Belgian linen, and 22-momme silk charmeuse from Hangzhou. Each material is chosen not only for how it looks, but for how it ages.

Production takes place in small, family-run workshops across Portugal, Italy, and Japan. We visit every partner in person, ensure fair wages and safe conditions, and maintain relationships that span years, not seasons. The result is product that carries the unmistakable quality of genuine human attention.

We produce in small batches to eliminate overstock. Our packaging is plastic-free and fully recyclable. We offset shipping carbon and are working toward a fully circular supply chain by 2027.
